Wild Gardening

Wild gardening has been getting a lot of attention recently. If you are like me with a busy life, no time to tend your garden, and you believe in keeping things in their natural state, then wild gardening might be a good option for you.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND FOR WILD GARDENING

  • No weeding- Weeds are helpful in creating a natural ecosystem with friendly plants around them. They grow well in that system of their friends. Moreover, lots of weeds are edible, you can add them to your salads.
  • No tilling, plowing, or turning of soil- The earth has its own system of earthworms, bugs, microorganisms, and plant roots to help aerate the soil.
  • No chemical fertilizers- Your kitchen and yard waste are the best source for fertilizers.
  • No usage of chemicals- Insecticides, pesticides, fungicides we use to keep the bugs away, are also keeping our plants’ and our body’s immunity away. Try to stay away from them. Insects were always part of the nature if you keep your gardening aligned with nature.

THE BENEFITS OF WILD GARDENING

  • Enjoy the nature in your garden by connecting with the smells, sights, and surroundings that provides.
  • You can enjoy the benefits of the native plants of your region because they grow to their maximum potential. They do not require any chemicals to keep pests away.
  • To increase the growth of plants that are native to the area you can also mix wild gardening with your pristine garden for seating areas. Basically, the goal is to copy nature. Plants talk to each other and match their chemistry as they like to grow with their friends around them. Their growth and success depend on each other. They create their own ecosystems with the availability of soil, amount of sunlight, climate, trees, and herbs in the surroundings.
