Turmeric Milk Isn't Helping Anymore? The Turmeric Is Probably Irradiated!

You may be familiar with using turmeric milk for a cold or sore throat. Or perhaps making a simple cumin, mint, and  ginger tea for soothing an irritated stomach.

Many of us routinely use herbs and spices for supporting our health.

In  the recent times have you noticed they don't always work? Wondering why?

Perhaps because the herbs and spices you get commonly today have been irradiated

What Is That?
According to Dr. Mercola, herbs, spices, and seasonings are exposed to HALF A BILLION chest X-ray's worth of gamma radiation. The FDA uses cobalt-60 from nuclear reactors on all conventional food.

Green Med Info States,

“Despite the irresponsible promotion of this process as safe, food irradiation destroys much of the vitamin content of food, produces a number of toxic byproducts: formaldehyde, benzene, and formic acid, as well as unique radiolytic products, e.g. 2-alklycyclobutanoes, that have been demonstrated to be cytotoxic (damages cells), genotoxic (damages DNA), and carcinogenic (causes cancer) in test tube and animal studies.”

Dr Mercola shares that research shows that consuming these herbs, spices, and seasoning has a detrimental effect on your health. Such irradiation creates a new class of food contaminants - 2-alkylcyclobutanones (2-ACBs).These are radiolytic derivatives of triglycerides found exclusively in irradiated food.

Quick facts about these 2-alkylcyclobutanones (2-ACBs)

  • Research in animals suggests that these may promote tumor growth and colon cancer.

  • Studies are also showing that these compounds - the 2-ACBs - are able to cross the intestinal barrier, enter into the bloodstream, and be stored in the fat tissue of an animal
  • The compounds are cytotoxic - damage cells and genotoxic - damage DNA

So What's the solution?

Look for herbs & spices specifically labelled non-irradiated

Better yet go for organic

It's time to check that spice cabinet

Check that cumin, mustard, cloves, pepper corns, cinnamon, turmeric, cardamom, and all other seasonings on your spice rack... time to restock with non-irradiated, better yet organic herbs, spices, and seasonings.
